Universidade Aberta (UAb), the Portuguese distance teaching public university, has its headquarters in Lisbon, two regional centres, in Coimbra and in Oporto, and study centres all over the country.
It is one of the largest national producers of university didactic materials. In addition to printed materials, it also produces videocassettes, audiocassettes, CD-ROMs, websites, TV and radio broadcasts.
The University is also experienced in European Projects, the latest ones in this area being SELECT, REFLECT, INTERCOMM and PROTOCOL II.
InterAct International (IAI), a UK SME, have over the past decade specialised in language research and producing products for improving communication skills for SMEs. As specialists for intercultural skills they are Consultants to the Department of Trade and Industry's National Languages for Export Campaign and the ECR Scheme of the British Chambers of Commerce. The company has extensive experience of managing European Projects and were Promoter and coordinator for the PROTOCOL project and were coordinator of the Protocol 2 and EURICA projects. The ECLAT Project will be chaired by Professor Stephen Hagen, on behalf of InterAct. Professor Hagen (Professor of Applied Languages) led the European Projects FLAIR, ELOQUENT (Lingua), ELUCIDATE (Leonardo) and PROTOCOL and has published extensively in the field of language needs analysis. Prof. Hagen is editor and author of Communication Across Borders (the Elucidate Report) and consultant to the National Languages for Export Campaign, which developed LEXAS in the UK.
InterAct is responsible for the management of the Project, monitoring timelines and milestone, expediting tasks, project reports; chairing and organisation of meetings; taking and circulation of minutes and other administrative support to the Project. They enable knowledge transfer from Protocol 1, develop content with BCC, and liaise with the UK agencies and user organisations that have offered support. They are responsible for planning dissemination and promotion of the project in the UK in association with the British Chambers of Commerce and on a European scale.
Gabrovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit, non-governmental legal body, registered with Gabrovo District Court on September 30, 1991 under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act. It's mission is regional development support, representation and protection of its members interests vis-à-vis local and state governmental bodies and fostering the European and international integration of Gabrovo region.
GbCCI is a partner of the state institutions in the improvement of the legislation - it submits the governmental bodies with its members' opinion on draft laws, develops proposals for their improvement, participates in the development of regional, district and municipal development programmes.
As a representative organization of employers GbCCI participates in the social dialogue and is represented in many local tripartite bodies and commissions,
The membership with the Chamber is on voluntary basis. Currently the Chamber has 134 regular and 1000 associated members.

STEFNA is a software development company founded in 2003. It is owned by three major parties, KEA investment group, Thekking investment group and employees.
STEFNA is located in northern Iceland with its nine employees of which five work in programming. Furthermore there are sales representatives in Reykjavik, the capital and contract with Thekking, an ICT company that has partly same ownership. Thekking has little over 40 employees taking care of companies' computer systems.
Stefna's primary goal is to create practical web based software solutions and has already put on the market software such as Moya, database driven web application software. Matartorg, a software for parents to order food for their children in schools and more.
Although small, Stefna is built on a solid business model in collaboration with major investors and partners, it has stable financial surrounding and takes pride in offering efficient software solutions.
The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is a non-governmental, politically neutral organization uniting Latvian businesses of various sectors country wide. LCCI represents business interests through a dialogue with national and local governments, and participates in the drafting of commercial legislation in Latvia.
